BBC Media Action Mission

I was at the BBC Media Action offices in London on my way to Addis for the SBCC Summit. The image above is the mission that they have on the walls of their news offices. Your thoughts? Warren

I think it is a good mission statement and clear.  I am not sure about what the coloured text is designed to do as I think the multiple colours detract a bit from the clarity of their points and leave one wondering if they are there to emphasise the key points and if they are does that mean for instance, that they feel helping people make sense of events is less important than dialogue and action?

Hi, I think this is an articulate mission statement - albeit slightly vague (specifics would obviously be precluded when space is at such a premium). I, too, wonder about the colour coding. It seems kind of random. One might think words connoting information/awareness/knowledge could be the same colour, no matter where they appear, and words evocative of dialogue/discussion could be a second colour and then empowerment/rights/action could be a third colour, or something like that. Also, as it stands, sometimes the infinitive is coloured and sometimes the gerund, etc., so there is some inconsistency there. But I am surely overthinking it. ~ Kier
